PCMR athlete, and Park City native, Alex Schlopy finished atop the podium with a 92.20 score on his first run, punctuated by a phenomenal double 1620 off one of the course’s three jumps.
With his first place finish, Schlopy earns critical points toward qualifying for the first ever U.S. Olympic Freeskiing Team.

Halfpipe Olympic qualification points will also be awarded Friday and Saturday nights when PCMR’s Eagle Superpipe hosts the final Grand Prix Halfpipe events of the season.
Park City Mountain Resort then hosts the official naming ceremony for the first ever U.S. Olympic Freeskiing Team Saturday night. All events are free, open to the public and accessible by foot.

Saturday evening was a perfect night to grab a chair under the stars on Town Lift Plaza and catch the world premiere of our original snowboard film, "IRPC" - and it turns out a whole lot of you agreed. Chairs went early and our crowd spilled into standing-room-only sections around the plaza deck before overflowing back onto Town Bridge over Park Ave. What a crowd! The film, shot entirely in the terrain parks at Park City Mountain Resort, proves anything is possible when it comes to the creative riding going on here. Did you miss the film's debut, or just can't wait to see it again? "IRPC" will be released in sneak peek edits, once a week through October, right here at the blog before posting in its full length November 1. Check it out!
